Dominus et Deus - Are you ready to be a part of history?
We remind you that the official Lex Arcana international premiere will be held on Saturday 25th May, from 5 p.m. to 12 a.m., in the wonderful Stadium of Domitian archaeological site, a World Heritage Site near Piazza Navona, in Rome. History, mythology, arts, culture and roleplaying will come together to create a unique, immersive experience for one special night.

We will explore the enormous building preserved beneath the beautiful Piazza Navona, admire the small masterpieces painted by the artists of the AL.FA. Model Store, and discover the flavors of Ancient Rome through delicacies prepared to historic recipes. The evening will end with a special mission to save the Empire open to all attendees. Are you ready to enter the arena and fight for your Emperor?

The cultural association Il Salotto di Giano, in collaboration with Quality Games and Need Games, is organizing the “Dominus et Deus” event.

Special guests include: Francesco Nepitello and Marco Maggi, Lex Arcana authors; Antonio De Luca, concept artist for Lex Arcana. More guests, gadgets for participants and surprises yet to be announced.

Hints & Hooks: “Faustus et Furius...” Chariot races in the Roman world

Since the premiere in the Stadium of Domitian is nearly here, let's talk about chariot races in the world of Lex Arcana.
Chariot races saw charioteers and their horses literally risk their life in the arena. These spectacular and incredibly popular shows attracted thousands of people and generated high revenue. The drivers stood on light and fragile carts, with reins wrapped around their body, often using dirty tricks and reckless manoeuvres to gain ground. As a consequence, overturns and clashes were very common. Rigged competitions, bets, fights in the arena or in the stands, endless rivalries and crazy fans were also normal in chariot race. No wonder the Emperor went to the stadium only if protected by the Praetorians!
Though amphitheater situations are more well known, stadium races can be excellent settings for the Custodes' actions  too.

As usual, more news about this can be found on the web!

Development Updates

How is game production proceeding?
During the last few weeks, for the first time since the beginning of the crowdfunding campaign, we have experienced some complications with the organization of our work. This has led to delays and small inaccuracies in the beta test. It's nothing serious and we are trying to recover as quickly as possible: thanks for your patience!

That's all for today. Remember that our Backerkit shop is open
If you want the Acta to cover specific topics, if you have doubts or questions about Lex Arcana, or if you want to send us a contribution, just let us know.

Ave atque Vale!
